Berlin

Berlin is the top travel destination. No city was visited by more people in 2019 than the capital. With almost 13.9 million tourists, it is far ahead of all other German cities.

Berlin shines with a cultural diversity, such as museums and collections on Museum Island. Opera houses, theaters and concert halls are also part of the cultural diversity in the capital. The Berlin Festival and the International Film Festival also contribute to the attractiveness of the cultural metropolis.

The main attractions are the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, Kurfürstendamm and Charlottenburg Palace.

Places of interest

Berlin as well as Munich, Hamburg and Frankfurt offer many places of interes that attract tourists. The most famous attractions of all cities are presented below.

Berlin - Victory Column

Alongside the Brandenburg Gate and the TV tower, the Victory Column is the most famous landmark in Berlin. The approx. 69 meter high column served for a long time as the closing party of the Love Parade, which is why it became famous. Originally, however, the Victory Column was dedicated to acts of war.

Munich - victory gate

The victory gate consists of the Bavaria with its lion team. The arch of Constantine in Rome was the model for the building. The gate was built in honor of the Bavarian army. This is confirmed by an inscription on the victory gate. Furthermore, many motifs of the reliefs with battle scenes can be seen. The gate marks the end of Ludwigstrasse and the beginning of the Schwabing district of Munich.

It serves as a meeting point, haven of peace and a place of fascination not only for tourists, but also for locals. The habor of Hamburg offers a variety of fascinating ships, as well as fish stalls on the promenade of the habor.

When the weather is nice, many people usually meet to enjoy the sun together. The meadows are usually very full. The city center can be easily reached from the banks of the Main. If you want to go to a bar or a cafe, you will find it in the immediate vicinity.

A beach vacation

"An ocean breeze puts a mind at ease."

- anonymous

Advantages

With a classic beach vacation, it is not important to experience many new things. Rather, it is about relaxing your mind and body from the stressful everyday life for a certain time. Nowhere is this better than in a lounger on the beach and a cool drink in hand.

Disadvantages

Many hotel complexes on the beach are in regions where there is hardly anything to see. The vacation therefore usually takes place only in the hotel or on the lounger on the beach. Apart from beach activities, there are often hardly any other things to see.

Popular beach vacation activities

In addition to relaxing, a beach vacation usually also offers many different activities that can make the vacation a little more exciting and eventful.
